Have you ever noticed how the smallest gestures can carry the biggest impact?

I’ve been reflecting lately on how generosity doesn’t have to be grand or costly. I used to think I needed to have more—more money, more time, more resources—before I could give meaningfully. But I’ve come to realize that the heart of generosity isn’t about abundance; it’s about intention.

I’ve found joy in giving simple things—something I already have, a small item someone might enjoy, or even just offering to help. It reminded me that generosity can happen in everyday moments, without needing to spend much or make a big gesture.

What’s surprised me is how these small acts have brought joy not just to the people I’ve given to—but to me as well. I feel more fulfilled when I give. It lifts my heart, reminds me of God’s blessings in my life, and gives me a sense of purpose in sharing even just a little.

I remember a moment when someone casually mentioned wanting something I happened to have at home. So the next day, I brought it with me. It wasn’t anything big—but seeing their appreciation reminded me how even small actions can make someone feel seen and valued.

Not long after, someone gave me a simple treat—just because. It reminded me how generosity moves quietly, often coming full circle when we least expect it.

I’ve learned that the only thing that can truly stop me from being generous is myself—my own hesitation, my own fear of lack. But when I step past that, I find freedom. I find joy. I find God’s presence in the act of giving.

As Scripture reminds us:

“You must each decide in your heart how much to give. And don’t give reluctantly or in response to pressure. “For God loves a person who gives cheerfully.”

– 2 Corinthians‬ ‭9‬:‭7‬ ‭NLT‬‬

So I’ve decided to live with an open hand and heart—because generosity isn’t expensive, but it is always worth it.

Faithfully,

Yani
